Brad Garrett, Racist Obama Supporter

Is anyone else sick to death of people who act like a vote for Obama absolves them from all past, present, and future charges of racism?

During a Monday appearance, Brad Garrett gleefully offended just about everyone on Fox and Friends during the After Show Show broadcast live on the Web. His rant targeted everyone from blacks to women to Jews. But then he revealed he’s an Obama supporter so it’s cool, right? See for yourself:

No matter who Brad Garrett votes for, he’s still a racist cretin.

9/11 and The Enduring Strength of the American People

On September 11, 2001 when terrorists unleashed unspeakable horrors on The United States, they inspired fear and uncertainty in the hearts of Americans. But they were blind to the resolve, the courage, and the patriotism of the American people. They inspired a million acts of kindness and compassion that day, and every day since. They sparked a sense of pride in the American way of life that I had heard about but never witnessed growing up in New York City. And when the ash settled and the acrid smoke dissipated, brave Americans stood ready to serve their country with grand shows of strength and quiet acts of patriotism.

Today, seven years after I watched fighter jets take ownership of serene blue skies, I pay tribute not only to those we lost and those who risked their lives, but to every American who has contributed to the war on terror since. We owe you our lives and our freedom.

To those who risk accusations of prejudice to report suspicious activity, your have our heartfelt thanks. To the innocent Middle Eastern immigrants who believed in America enough to submit to interviews and surveillance, you have our deepest gratitude. And to our troops throughout the world, you are in our hearts every day, and your courage and love of country will not be forgotten.

Bristol Palin and the Omniscient Media

If I had a swing state vote for every pundit, reporter, columnist, and netizen who presumes to know the secrets of 17-year-old Bristol Palin’s sex life, I could win this election for the McCain/Palin ticket. Give me another vote for every kitchen table pundit decrying Sarah Palin’s views on birth control and sex education, and we’d have a landslide of historic proportions.

Bristol Palin “had unprotected sex with her boyfriend and took the risk of getting pregnant,” the editor-in-chief of Seventeen tells us. She was failed by abstinence-based sex ed that gives “teenagers as little practical information as possible,” asserts Joan Smith. Her “predicament” is likely due to the state of sex ed in our “puritanical society,” says NYT columnist Charles Blow. “They don’t sell Trojans in Alaska?” scoffs Dave Letterman. And Kos reveals his intimate knowledge of Bristol Palin’s birth control practices with this gem: “Bristol would’ve been better served with a discussion about safe sex. Instead, she’s now facing a shotgun wedding to the baby’s father.”

But how many of these people were there the night Bristol conceived?

That’s right, not one.

Not one of them knows whether Bristol Palin and her fiancÃ© were practicing safe sex and not one of them knows whether the couple received comprehensive sex education.

That’s not what the liberal media would have you think. They know what happened because they know what kind of people the Palins are. Only their bible-thumping, Christianist ways, complete with abstinence-only education and a prohibition on contraception, could have caused a teen girl to get pregnant.

And that, of course, is a crock.

Sarah Palin is pro-contraception and approves of sex ed. She does not favor explicit sex education, but supports an approach that discusses both abstinence and contraception, including condoms.

Sarah Palin’s (fairly moderate) views on sex ed and birth control are fair game for the “keep your laws off my body” crowd. Bristol Palin’s sexual experiences are not, and concocting fictions in the absence of details only makes the barrage of opinion from the MSM and blogosphere more unseemly.

Sarah Palin, Brain Rapist?

Things Cintra Wilson believes Sarah Palin has done to her:

ideologically brain raped her
mortally offended her
made her retch into her handbag
made her feel like a ghetto Jew watching the rise of National Socialism

I’d like to be the first to thank Sarah Palin for her efforts. Having had the extraordinary displeasure of being ideologically brain raped by Cintra Wilson at a KGB Bar reading a few years ago, I can’t help but feel that Sarah Palin has paid her back on my behalf.

You can witness the full extent of Cintra Wilson’s extreme Palin Derangement Syndrome in her diatribe on the governor, also known as that “enabling wife of organized crime, who sees, hears and speaks no evil of the boys in her old-boy network for whom she does this ideological lap dance.”

Live From the Sty, Obama Calls Palin a Pig in Lipstick

Barack Obama stepped in it big time today. Addressing the McCain/Palin message of change and reform, he told the audience at a town-hall event:

You can put lipstick on a pig … itâ€™s still a pig.

Oh yes he did. And he got a standing ovation.

If Obama didn’t spend so much time in the sty, he might not have pigs on the mind. But his purported intentions with this outrageous turn of phrase are irrelevant.

After Sarah Palin’s joke that lipstick is the only thing that distinguishes a hockey mom from a pitbull, there was no question in Obama’s mind that people would realize he was calling Sarah Palin a pig. Like the liberal media, he indiscriminately tossed out a slur to seed hatred, then he’ll pretend to take offense that his intended meaning is being skewed.

Like his running mate who earlier today called Sarah Palin a backward step for women, Barack Obama epitomizes poor taste and poor judgement.

Ready to lead, indeed.

Update: Hot Air has video of the slur and audio of the response from the McCain camp. Reporters are actually suggesting that this isn’t a gendered comment.

Update 2: Tammy Bruce captures the problem with Obama’s words perfectly. “Make no mistake, Barry has created the culture of sexism within the Democrat party, and this is just one more indication that it’s his choice for his campaign to use the personal destruction of women as its standard.”

Update 3: Hot Air updates us that an Obama rep has called the McCain camp’s response “a pathetic attempt to play the gender card.”

You Know What’s Great About Barack Obama?

Obama is the sum of his missteps, lies, bad ideas, and questionable associations, and that gives Republicans plenty of political fodder. There should be no temptation to manufacture false rumors to undermine his campaign because his history, his positions, and indeed, his very character serve to enfeeble his message.

And yet, people seem to relish taking Obama’s words out of context. Doing so is unfair, hypocritical, and quite frankly, sleazy.

On Sunday the big story was that Obama had admitted his Muslim faith during a televised interview with George Stephanopoulos. Sure, that’s what it sounds like if you artfully truncate the clip at just the right point. VoilÃ , a viral sound bite!

But as Allahpundit and Ann Althouse point out, if you watch the full segment it’s clear that Obama is addressing a smear, not admitting to lying about his faith.

And this brings us back to what’s great about Obama. The man spent 20 years attending a Black Liberation Theology church with a hateful, anti-Semitic racist for a pastor. For his opponents and critics, that’s a big fat cherry atop a three scoop sundae. Why bother massaging the truth, when reality is low hanging fruit, ripe for the picking?
