Sarah Palin Fact: Sarah Palin Bans Books Years Before They’re Published

In 1996, Sarah Palin banned Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone from the Wasilla Public Library. Of course, it wasn’t published until 1998, but that just proves what I’ve been saying all along: Sarah Palin’s readiness to lead is due largely to her unparalleled precognitive ability.

    Ummm, Sarah Palin’s executive experience as Mayor of the metropolis of Wasillla, Alaska extended long past 1996. Her executive experience began in 1996 and continued well into the next century, ending in 2002. Hence it is conceivable that she may have added to the list as her years of executive experience went by. It is true that she is not a flipflopper, but that just means she would never delete a book from the list: it wouldn’t be a flipflop to add a new book to the list.

    If Sarah Palin was really interested in banning books, wouldn’t she have ensured the city librarian’s vacated position was filled with someone who would be amenable to the idea? And if Mary Ellen Emmons really felt that she was being asked to violate the ethics of her profession, surely as president of the Alaska Library Association, she could have found the resources to come to the defense of intellectual freedom, no?

    If you believe book banning was part of Sarah Palin’s mayoral platform, try to prove it. I dare you.

    Tim, use critical thinking.

    There was no list. That is the generic ACLU list that has been floating on the nets before you knew who Obama or Palin was.

    Where is the Wasilla Library Board proof? I searched through the minutes, did you?

    Why did she continue to work there?

    I just heard a caller on talk radio (seminar run today, not supposed to be obvious, just the fourth in a row), say the NYTs had it and until THEY print a retraction, SHE has to prove it’s not true. Excuse me, last I checked, the journalists were to check facts BEFORE they print… and not get stories from blogs. What’s the point of the MSM if we have to double check and get the real story. This hit and run attacking makes us look like idiots, uneducated and sheep. By the time the lie is out and they don’t let you refute it, the masses minds are made up and they don’t want to hear the truth.

    They’ve given the woman and her daughter a public GYN/OB exam (yes, our party of privacy and choice), yet the opponent has no records at any of his universities, no thesis’, papers, transcripts, no offical birth certificate thus far (I guess folks missed the spokesman saying it was sealed due to adoption by Soetoro, then why is his name Obama… where’s the name change docs), records on a gov’t site scrubbed, columns scrubbed and postdated, no one looking at what he did and didn’t do on the southside (I could tell you, I’d rather you go to the Sun Times/Tribune archives yourself), go check on Companion Security, Auchi, Alsammarae, Rezko, the bus folks: Robert Malley (Oil for Food along with Auchi, go to discover the networks), check how much he’s raised to this point from the oppressed, downtrodden little people so far and why the FEC site still doesn’t have employment filled in for over half from 18 months back and missing socials from overseas donations in the millions.
